| 3. | To develop safe practical and technically sound specifications for the industry and to promote their adoption by contractors, engineers and authorities. |
| 4. | To develop, adopt and promote fair, reasonable and standard industry terms and conditions in contract documentation based upon identifiable Australian standards. |
| 5. | The introduction of a 'zero retention' policy which has been adopted by other Federations overseas. |
| 6. | To foster and improve employee relations and to develop and adopt equitable enterprise agreements. |
| 7. | To promote skill, training and accreditation of employees in all aspects of geotechnical construction. |
