Piling and Foundation Specialist Federation of Australia and Deep Foundations Institute of the USA Joint Conference

This inaugeral joint conference between the Piling and Foundation Specialist Federation (PFSF) and the Deep Foundations Institute (DFI) covers piling and ground improvement works associated with building and infrastructure developments, including foundation works and retention requirements for basements. Presenters will share their experiences and knowledge encompassing aspects of design, construction and performance (or lack of) for piling and ground improvement techniques for building and infrastructure works.

Submission of Abstracts is between June 27, 2016 and July 22, 2016 via the web address on the above Call for Abstracts link.


 March 1st 2016 - The Introduction of PileSafe

The Piling Foundation Specialists Federation (PFSF) and the Crane Industry Council of Australia (CICA) have formed an industry partnership to administer the newly created PileSafe green sticker for piling and foundation equipment. 22nd May 2014.

Worksafe Victoria launched the recently released Victorian Piling Industry Standard officially on a building site in Dandenong today. Representatives from Worksafe Victoria, the Master Builders Association of Victoria,  the Victorian Construction Safety Alliance,  the CFMEU, the Piling Federation and the piling community were present at the launch. The Industry Standard was put together over a period of two years by representatives from the above organisations and a number of individual representatives from Piling Federation member companies. The committee was chaired patiently and methodically by Ashley Tonkin-Hill from Wagstaff Piling.

Nic Morgan the President of the PFSF urges all of the piling community to use the new Standard as a tool to educate all involved in the foundation process.
