To be advised shortly...

On 19th Sept 2008 a serious incident occurred near Tully in North QLD when a 30m tower of a pile driving rig became detached from a lattice boom crawler crane and fell with a 12m long concrete pile. One worker, located on the ground in front of the crane, was fatally injured.
In early 2007 the Members of the Federation endorsed a proposal to introduce a reporting system for its members so we could better understand the nature of unsafe incidents occurring within the industry. We now have the results of the first 12 months - please follow this link for further information.
